Why Liverpool can beat Arsenal and Manchester City to the Premier League title

After a month of thrilling World Cup matches, Premier League football has been brought back to life. The glamour, passion and incredible comeback of most football teams at this tournament has been entertaining to fans from all over the world.

With Lionel Messi lifting the trophy for the first time and probably the last time, Argentina could have won the World Cup, but can Arsenal really replicate it? Is it really possible that they can beat Manchester City and the resurgence of Liverpool for the league title?

After getting some breathing space on the back end of the season as a result of the World Cup, Liverpool gears up to win it all. The Reds played 68 games with three finals last season. Most of these matches were played by players such as Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander Arnold, Mo Salah and Firmino.

Now rested and fully recovered from last season's burn out, Liverpool are now ready to challenge Arsenal who are hoping to end their 18 years wait to win the title. The last time Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy was in 2002.

City meanwhile are attempting to turn the Premier League title into a one horse race having won it three times in a row. The fourth time's going to turn the most competitive league into a sideshow. As a matter of fact, no one wants it.

Liverpool are undoubtedly the favorite to win the league and it'll be a miracle if Arsenal or Manchester City don't stop them.

A Better Nigeria: What the Government must do to end food crises

What is wrong with Nigeria and its people? A sane question most people have asked for decades but little have figured out the problems. Those who have the amicable solution and well placed in positions to truly effect change are either been rigged out, threatened or even killed.   Tragic you would say, but there's more to the complex web of Nigeria's challenges and food crises is one of them which the incumbent president must deal with immediately.  Before taking over the mantle of leadership, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a series of promises and swiftly took action by removing fuel subsidy in his first day in office. Taking that action was bold and cold because no alternative was given.  The effect was an immediate increase in fuel which resulted in an increase in the cost of transportation of both perishable and imperishable goods. Businesses which where reliant on generators for power packed up while well established businesses were forced to retrench workers or pa...

4 Reasons Why Kylian Mbappe must join Liverpool rather than Real Madrid

For most players, Real Madrid and Barcelona are dream clubs to play for but they're also a lot of negatives that must be taken into account before making the move.  A typical example is Eden Hazard who is arguably the greatest player in Chelsea history and one of the best players in Premier League history. It was a very bad decision to switch from Chelsea to Real Madrid and the player has clearly admitted. Hazard retired at the age of 32.  Kylian Mbappe is without doubt a super player but, he needs to understand that Liverpool offers him a better chance to reach his full potential than Real Madrid and here are the reasons why: A. The Premier League is more competitive than La Liga and Liverpool is the best place for him - Apart from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, most people don't even bother watching other Spanish teams in the La Liga except their competing in the Champions League, Europa League or the Conference League. Kylian Mbappe needs to join Liverpool a te...

One trick pony: How Manchester City star Erling Haaland can be stopped

When it comes to consistency of goals scored, no other striker delivers like Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland. The Norwegian's an extraordinary player, a poacher of goals that should be the model for future strikers.  The Norwegian star is currently the quickest player in Premier League history to score 50 league goals, shattering Andrew Cole's previous record by 17 games after scoring the opening goal in Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Liverpool.  His conversion rate is bone chilling and definitely worrisome for opposition coaches who always seems confused on what must be done to stop Haaland. Stopping the 23-year-old is hard but possible.  Fact; Haaland do not score goals outside the 18-yard box. Since joining Manchester City from Borrusia Dortmund, Haaland has only managed to shoot 10 times outside the box and scored just once.  Why? He is an instinctive goal poacher whose short burst opens up space for him to shoot accurately to goal. His biggest strength...
